此次迪拜空中出租车服务的落地，也是双方合作的重要里程碑。早在2020年，Uber便收购了Joby Aviation旗下的Uber Elevate业务，并向其投资7500万美元，时隔近六年，双方终于将空中出行的合作构想落地迪拜。而从Uber的整体布局来看，疫情初期因出行需求下滑，该公司曾陆续出售自动驾驶等多项业务，去年则通过与Lucid、Nuro等企业合作，重新布局自动驾驶出租车领域。
